A Fort Worth, Texas, RE/MAX agent was fatally stabbed early this month by someone that she knew, possibly as part of an interpersonal dispute, reported Fort Worth police. Although the police have not yet made any arrests or identified the suspect, they did emphasize that the real estate agent was not the victim of a random crime. The woman, Suzanne Parsons, was stabbed around 4:30 p.m. while she was at work, and the killer then fled the scene. Parsons was in her busy real estate office when she was killed, and surrounding offices in the complex were forced to lock their doors until the incident was resolved and police had concluded that the killer had fled.
“I don’t want to give the impression to the public [that] this is a stranger-on-stranger crime,” said Fort Worth police corporal Tracey Knight. She added that she believes the incident was domestic and that they are looking for a man in his 50s. The emergency call came in around 4 p.m. and was initially classified as a “cutting” incident, although when police arrived it was clear that the issue was homicide.
